About this Retreat
Meditation, as an end in itself, allows peace and well being to arise in the individual mind, body, and heart. As a tool for growth, the calmed mind and mindfulness meditation allow for the cultivation of insight and the discernment of Truth. As Truth is clearly discerned, meditation is dropped as a tool or path and adopted as a metaphor for living this Truth out in the world.
During this non-residential retreat we will work with our current aspirations for peace, healing, and spiritual growth using "appropriate technologies" such as guided, concentrative, and mindfulness meditations, movement exercises and contemplation and reflection. As we explore our intentions in this arena, will learn how to bring them to fulfillment as we express ourselves in the world. Suitable for any level of experience, this retreat will include talks, meditation instruction and practice, question and answer times. There will be a lot of silence!
