This workshop experience will draw from the program developed and popularized by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMass Medical Center. We will explore powerful approaches to developing mindfulness in our everyday lives including: The Body Scan, Mindful Hatha Yoga, Sitting, Walking and Eating Meditation. Not my usual Vipassana retreat focused primarly on sitting and walking meditation, this is a powerful yet gentle introduction to an integrated mindfulness practice that balances sitting with mindful movement, noble silence with mindful speech and active listening.

This workshop brings the experience of mindfulness within easy grasp of those who are curious about this practice but perhaps reluctant to sign up for a full day of 40 minute sittings and strict silence. It is also a good introduction to those who already have either an established yoga or meditation practice to experience how these practices can deeply compliment eachother.


Location

Wisdom Pond is located at 2515 Robertson Trail, Lutz, Florida 33559. This is just off Livingston Road which is 4/10 mile west of Bruce B. Downs Blvd. and 1 6/10 miles east of I-275. Wisdom Pond is 5 3/10 miles north of Bearss Ave. After turning east onto Robertson, take the second drive on the right. More information will be sent to you upon receipt of your registration. Cost

Cost for this day long workshop which includes a light noon meal is set on a sliding scale from $50 to $100 per participant based upon ability to pay (you set your fee, no questions asked). There are a number of half schlarships (drop me note with your request) so please don't let financial reasons keep you from attending this event.

This is a fund-raising benefit for Flowing Dharma which will receive half of all after expense earnings.

Registration deadline is Tuesday, January 27. Please register as early as possible so that we will have ample time to plan and purchase food.
